Matt joined Montpelier Re in Bermuda in 2009 and is responsible for underwriting the Specialty Treaty account, including WCA Catastrophe Excess of Loss, Personal Accident and Life Catastrophe Excess of Loss, Terrorism, Aviation & Marine. He came to us after spending more than a decade at XL Financial Solutions Ltd. where he was a founding member and most recently worked as a senior vice president, head of structured insurance. Matt started his career in 1992 as an actuarial consultant with Tillinghast in London and subsequently worked as an actuary at the Lloyd’s managing agent Brockbank Underwriting Ltd. Matt received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Bristol and is a qualified actuary.
