Adam Szakmary
Vice President, Underwriting and Risk Management
Adam joined Montpelier Group in 2004 and is both an underwriter of the US property treaty book and a vice president of risk management. Adam was a founding member of Montpelier Syndicate 5151 where he was the international property class underwriter, and prior to that he underwrote the terrorism portfolio at Montpelier Re. He has worked OPIC and the US Department of Commerce evaluating political risk while researching terrorism risk. He holds a Masters degree in International Economic Policy from American University and a Bachelors degree in Marine Policy Studies and Political Science with high distinction from the University of Rhode Island.
